i wouldnt make that judgement yet until you get your HD telly. ive also heard the 360 is slightly better at handling standard def than the ps3.

I've seen PS3 games played on HDTVs and, yes, they do look stunning but I wouldn't say they are worth spending £500+ on a new HDTV for.
Also, PS3 games look excellent on an SDTV. The detail is amazing but not being a graphics whore, I don't care too much about them.

ah stop, i went into a sony centre shop today in cork to check how the soccer was playing out and they had sky sports HD on. its so incrediblely clear, it reminded me of a joke on Futurama, "why bother with real-life, television is in better resolution!".

HDTV is like watching TV on your monitor, is all.

Bought another game. This time ToCA Race Driver 3 off ebay for £6.20 (used).
Talking of Xbox games, I'm really getting into Flatout 2. It's a very addictive racer and looks outstanding (generally) for an Xbox game.
Updated: Also bought another four games from Gamestation today: Syberia 2, Top Spin, PoP: Warrior Within and Buffy (the 2nd one) all for £10.

If you can afford it and you have a 360 or PS a HDTV is essential, Ive also got a full 5.1 surround sound set up and its supriseing how great that is and you notice stuff you mite not without it.

Thats a pain, I downloaded Psychonauts on my 360 and that version worked fine (not that that is helpful to you! )
In fact this has reminded me that I need to finish that.
